Who We Are

HinterLAN is organized by a small group of computer enthusiasts and gamers based in Thunder Bay, Canada. We come from a variety of gaming backgrounds, but we have one thing in common, we love competitive gaming! We are always looking for more enthusiastic gamers to help organize, referee, and stream our events; so please contact us if you wish to help, regardless of where you live.

What We Do

Simply put, we organize PC gaming tournaments. Roughly once a year we run a LAN party, which was initially run under the name Thunder Bay Area Gamers (TBAGLAN), but has since been changed to HinterLAN. We are also in the process of planning online gaming leagues for a variety of both popular and niche titles.

Why We Do It

Competitive gaming is something that we are passionate about, but we feel that recently there is still a lack of amateur organized leagues in Canada and the rest of North America as a whole. We hope to foster a long term competitive community outside of the major tournaments that are so prominent today, especially for games that are often overlooked.
